Wednesday Night, Stupid teenagers

By Benton on 10:56 PM
Happy Wednesday night to all. I need to go on a tangent real quick to take out frustration.

Just got my wallet stolen from a community center where I was playing basketball. By the way, so far the players out here have no been good. I may need to pay a visit to PG county soon. Okay, back to the topic. Someone stole my wallet. Those who know my more newfound calm demeanor would have recognized my reaction. I wasn't upset, just annoyed. And honestly I feel bad for the person who did it. They will make off with about $7 and probably some angry dealings with Bank of America.

You see, the idiot who stole my wallet did not take into consideration the fact that I would just report everything stolen. Smart trip card, check, bank cards check. Oh but wait, upon reporting my bank cards stolen I find out that the person spent $100 at Sprint. Not at a store (they are all closed), but online. I can only assume this is someone paying their account. Funny thing about accounts like that: they usually have addresses attached to them. Not only that, but the employees at the community know all of the guys I was playing with. What was this guy thinking? Hope he likes temporarily having his phone bill paid. Sorry, my cancelled card won't cover legal fees.

The real hassle comes in replacing things like my drivers license, passport card, Costco card and UW Alumni Association card. How the money adds up. However, again, I am calm. Just an unfortunate circumstance. Wish I could say more for the kid, who will get caught.

Just some links tonight. I may actually try to get some sleep.

First, coverage on the Ben Roethlisberger deal. Looks like he may be alright.

Haven't had a chance to watch this whole thing yet, but see Michael Vick on 60 Minutes with James Brown.

The Seattle race for Mayor has gone national. This is to be expected with Nickels' fame.

By the way, I know some agree, some don't on this, but I like the viaduct. Obviously it needs some improvement. Actually it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. But as a structure that is part of the Seattle skyline, I LOVE the viaduct. Seattle is a city full of million-dollar views, but in my opinion none, not Kerry Park, not Magnolia, not West Seattle, none, top the scene driving north on the top level at night, with the ocean on your left and the city rising up on your right. It is the thing that reminds me how big of a city Seattle really is, yet that it is tucked away calmly next to the ocean.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't point out how stupid Jim thinks Nickels is (not just the D after his name) because he wants to tear down the road he uses to commute to work.

Memphis is headed down.

And yes, I am still ignoring the quarterback who must not be named.

See y'all tomorrow.

Stay Classy.
