Don't worry, I haven't lost my childhood. This particular post will be short and sweet, to be expanded later in the day. Today, pitchers and catchers report to Mariners Spring Training in Peoria, Ariz.

Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee, how long we have waited.

Can you name a better one-two punch in Mariners' history? If you say Randy Johnson and Chris Bosio, well, uh, wanna deal me Jason Varitek for Heathcliff Slocumb? What's that? Oh, that already happened? It was the Mariners that did that? Dammit.

Seriously though, is there a better day of the year? It is about to snow in DC, tell me if you've heard that before, but in Arizona the sun is shining and its time for baseball.

Days don't get more exciting that this.

To hold you over until I sit down to write about all things baseball, here are two three things to tie you over: the Mariners' official website, Geoff Baker's (Seattle Times M's beatwriter) blog and a really interesting live chat between four AL West writers, with a rep from each team.

Excuse me, I need to go contain my excitement. Right after I include one more link, that of my other favorite baseball team, the Defending World Champion New York Yankees.
