Corporate Takeover

Bam, there are my headline skills. I knew they were there somewhere. And I told you it wouldn't take long for blog-worthy news to come out today. Although, I don't have a bunch of time to write about it this second, I'll come back to it later.

The Supreme Court announced its ruling on campaign finance laws and was a good one for corporations. While the prohibition on direct contributions to candidates from unions and corporations remains intact, these same two bodies can now spend as much as they want running their own campaigns.

A couple of weeks ago I did a post explaining some of this. Tonight I'll take a more in-depth look at who really stands to gain - think Big Oil and labor unions.

Rep. Alan Grayson just called the ruling the, "worst Supreme Court decision since Dred Scott."
