Alright, so I made a list of goals. One of them is to get myself in line and write here more often. No excuses, just get it done. The ultimate goal is to eventually make it a regular thing, updated multiple times daily with interesting news and such. Obviously it may take some better time budgeting, but that's part of this whole growing up thing. Also, I'll have to change the name as well. All down the road though.
For now, don't worry about me. I got the whole nine on Thanksgiving, minus the turkey. That would have been just way too much work. But I made sweet potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, baked macaroni and fried chicken. And to cap it off, an apple pie. Thanks Karen for the recipes. Add in a nice morning jog and way too much football and it was a pretty good day, albeit sad to be away from the family.
It has started to get pretty cold out here, something I am not quite used to. Heard it has been pouring quite often in Seattle, which I am completely used to and kind of miss, but out here it just gets cold and windy. It actually snowed earlier today.
On Saturday there is a big Alumni Association event for the Apple Cup. It is actually combined between Washington and the other team, so it should be a big thing with a lot of trash talking. Pretty excited for that. Hopefully things go down better than they did a year ago out in Pullman.
Honestly, hard to really update much because I've pushed all policy and work type stuff from my mind for the day. But, I'll definitely have some more of that. Interestingly, one of the other things I am doing is making a list of specific issues, researching them and establishing a position. Some of you may know that, despite sounding deeply opinionated whenever a debate is occurring, I am generally on the fence about some things, open to be convinced. But there are some "closed fist" issues for sure and I want to get a grip on those. It would also be nice to have some policy ideas for the future. So, should you want to sway me one way or the other, I'm all ears.
There is one thing I think is worth linking, as it has become quite the story. That is President Obama's first state dinner, which included a reality-tv couple that wasn't invited...
Stay Classy.
