This was one of those weeks where I did about 100 different things and so it is hard to pinpoint exactly what they were and explain them. As the recent posts said, there was quite a bit of action on the blogs. We have now eclipsed our total posts of the months of January, February, March and April in just the first seven days of August. May is soon to follow. This is sort of the new version of commission. You are just by BOTH the quality of quantity of your message, so we do both.
In the last couple of days the biggest thing coming out of my office has been heavy publicity for a summit in Las Vegas on Monday. Obviously there are going to be people there protesting it and we want to make it clear that this is a really good thing. Bill Clinton will there. Al Gore will be there. Steven Chu will be there. T. Boone Pickens will be there. This is a serious group of minds that has the ability to create change.
Big weekend with a lot of grilling ahead. Let me know what yours entails.
Here are a couple of links to lead you in:
Don't forget UW starts camp on Monday...
If you went there you'll also notice that the Washington Athletic Communications office has taken the next step in unveiling their new website today. Big ups to Brian Tom and everyone else out there.
The first USTODAY/Coaches Poll is out. UW is somewhere in D IAA right now...
For some reason I have never linked this, but many who know me know I use this site a lot for politics.
Some great stuff on Act Green in the last couple of days. Yes, I wrote the rat story.
The Purple Heart was created today. And tomorrow Nixon resigned. And as I typed that the sun came out. I'll take that as a hint. Have a great weekend y'all.
One quick video, for Tara:

Lots of grilling here, too. Bought 3 pounds of hamburger, so lots of yummy burgers with all the trimmings. Wish you were here. Jealous that Karen gets to go see you and we don't. Can you believe you're the brother of a 16-year-old baby sister?
