Some sports links

So the yearly day of grimaces - aka the day Oregon releases its new football uniforms - is upon us.

Here they are...my co-worker immediately commented on the "duck wings" or "indian feathers" or whatever you might want to call them...

Tim Lincecum showed again why he is better than you...and Brandon Morrow, and everyone else in his draft class.

Interesting column from FanHouse. After, or during, reading this think about the fact that a large number of baseball, tennis, hockey, etc players are foreign, unlike football and basketball. Also, that baseball has a rule in place that forces you to go to school for three years if you turn down your initial draft at 18, which a lot do. That said, education level is low..

And a story about Mariano Rivera. Damn he has been good for 17 years.

Quick notes about today in the office...

Yeah, that was it. I'm not doing much. Really. Congress is on recess so we are just doing some accountability things. I've been calling newspapers to set up ads to do what we call thanking and spanking. You can guess I'm sure, but the former is an ad thanking a Congressman for voting for the bill, the latter the opposite. It shows our public support. In some districts we are providing cover for those who are seriously going to need it.
We've also been building a positive campaign to combat some of the attacks we've fielded in the last couple of days like this one for DailyKos. Not always bad to have the super left attacking you.

Not sure what the rest of the day holds. Hot weather for sure.

Stay Classy.
